DIY fake makeup

This is in a few places on the internet but I had to put it on my blog!!!!


This is perfect for little kids who like makeup but the parents don't like the messes!!


All you need is...
old nail polish (any color)
old make up containers (eye shadow or blush containers)  or you can use a ice cube tray
a makeup bag (optional)




What you do is clean out anything in the make up containers or ice cube trays
then you need to wash with warm water and soap. Then dry. Then pour some of the nail polish in there. Remember that the thicker the polish the longer drying time. After you get the as full as you want then you need to let them dry. I experimented and I did a very think one (which took 2 days to dry) and a very thin one ( which only took a few hours) then give to your child. This is also a very cute Christmas present!!!

What I did was I have a toy room that I turned into a nursery for my dolls and reborn dolls. I will be posting pictures when I can get some. Unfortunately I am busy so you will have to wait....

Homemade lava lamp

What You Need:

•  bottle
• Vegetable oil
• Water
• Food coloring
• Alka-seltzer

What You Do:

1. Fill the bottle most of the way with vegetable oil.
2. Fill the rest of the flask with water. The water will sink to the bottom under the oil.
3. Add a few drops of food coloring; your choice of color. The food coloring is water-based, so it will also sink and color the water that is now at the bottom of the flask.
4. Break an alka-seltzer tablet into a few small pieces, and drop them in the flask one at a time.
5. Watch your lava lamp erupt into activity! As the reaction slows down, simply add more alka-seltzer.

make-up, and nails. If you have pockets in your coat or apron you could put in brushes or make-up or anything that can be used at a salon. You can also make a name tag and other accessories.
